The Most Confident Student Is Not Always The Most Trustworthy

Every school has the articulate, poised student who is first to raise a hand and first to appear in the event photographs. Visibility is quietly treated as evidence of capability. But visibility and responsibility are distinct traits, and most schools never test for the second. Across twenty years inside Singapore schools, leadership programmes have become very good at producing confident students and considerably less good at producing trustworthy ones.
